Monika Henry is a geographer and teacher by training, originally from Switzerland but lives the rural life near Ottawa now with her husband and two kids, and a small menagerie of animals. She learned to sew in primary school and started quilting while at Uni, but didn’t really find her ‘voice’ until she discovered the Modern Quilting movement a few years ago.
Writing patterns happened quite by accident, although she's designed most of the quilts she's made to date. She loves the design process and the teacher side of her enjoys putting it into a format others can use.
Monika is a member of her local modern quilt guild, and has had a few patterns published in Make Modern magazine.
